The origin
Bahia mala is a Belgian brand of candles inspired by the landscapes of Latin America, and more particularly Argentina and Chile.
The name of the brand comes from a little corner of paradise on the Chilean coast. Bahia Mala is a hamlet bordered by a sublime white sand cove and crossed by the Rio Bahia Mala which flows into the Pacific Ocean after a long journey through Chile.
Bahia mala offers a new way to decorate your interior by excluding paraffin to make way for vegetable wax. With their original, modern and colorful design, Bahia mala candles fit into your interior like real decorative objects.

After thinking about it for a long time, without really daring to get started, I finally took the plunge in November 2021 to launch Bahia mala. This idea was born from a family story; of a grandfather who fell in love with the Argentinian landscapes and a grandmother passionate about photography, ready to follow him to the ends of the world.
One evening while looking through a photo album in which my grandmother had collected her most beautiful photos, the idea came to me to bring a little of this culture, this folklore and these childhood memories to our home. .
This is how the first Bahia mala products were born. In my workshop in Belgium, having fun putting together pieces of fabric brought back from Argentina, until finally creating natural candles with an atypical design.
It was the beginning of Bahia mala, a brand of candles with strong values which, I hope, will take you on a journey to discover the most beautiful landscapes of Argentina
